Der junge, künstlerisch begabte Eli (Ryan Ochoa) fühlt sich von seinem überarbeiteten Vater unverstanden. Die Verwirklichung seiner Berufswünsche scheint unmöglich, bis ein Schulwettbewerb ihm eine aussichtsvolle Zukunft in der Grafikbranche in Aussicht stellt - sofern er gewinnt. Davon motiviert, macht er sich auf Informationssuche bei seinem Großvater, von dem er weiß, dass dieser ein Shoah-Überlebender ist. Doch als dieser schließlich fragt: „Was weißt du über den zweiten Weltkrieg?“ ist die Antwort ernüchternd: „Was schon? Wir haben ihn gewonnen.“ Die Geschichte muss ganz von Anfang an erzählt werden. Dies ist eine
rührende Erzählung über die Notwendigkeit, das Schweigen zu brechen.

Discussing differences between generations and both the importance of history, as well as the representation of it through art, Marco Fusco’s praised production follows the story of young, talented Eli (Ryan Ochoa), who feels isolated and misunderstood by his family and by society. Getting involved in a school project, he gets the opportunity to share his graphic talent, while developing a closer relationship to his grandparent, from which he learns a meaningful lesson of life, following the footsteps of Jewish refugees during the Nazi Period. The moving story teaches the audience the importance of breaking the silence.
