Zum Klassiker wurde der Film auch durch Streisands Duett mit Louis Armstrong.
Die Story basiert übrigens auf dem Stück „The Matchmaker“ („Die Heiratsvermittlerin“) von Thornton Wilder, das von Nestroys "Einen Jux will er sich machen“ inspiriert ist.
