JERUSALEM FILM WORKSHOP 2017 - THE FILM
20 young filmmakers participated in the 2017 Jerusalem Film Workshop
The Jerusalem based program is an immersive and transformative resume building experience that will give the participants an opportunity to develop and advance their cinematography, editing, screenwriting, and directing skills as well as expand their professional network, all while learning more about the country and the its culture.
We are screening the documentary that is the result of the work during six weeks in Jerusalem and was premiered at the Jerusalem Film Festival.
For the first time the JFW is partnering with 20 film festivals from around the world, who choose young representatives to come to Jerusalem and bring their individual styles and insights. Among the festivals are the Vienna Jewish Film Festival, Warsaw Jewish Film Festival, San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, Budapest Jewish Film Festival, Austin Jewish Film Festival, Pitigliani Kolno'a Festival, and Mexico Jewish Film Festival.
Thanks to the Manny Margules Scholarship fund, 20 gifted filmmakers were able to attend the workshop and produce a short film in Jerusalem this summer.
The 2017 winner of the Vienna Jewish Film Festival of the Manny Margules Scholarship for participation in the Jerusalem Film Workshop was Jonathan Meiri.
We are happy to welcome him as our guest at the presentation of the JFW - Film.
