Joey arbeitet als DJ auf Familienfeiern in Detroit. Als bei einem Unfall seine Geräte vernichtet werden, braucht er dringend Geld. Er nimmt das Angebot seines zwielichtigen Onkels Morty an, das berühmte Rezept für Oma Roses Dillgurken zu stehlen, um es gewinnbringend zu vermarkten.

Oma Rose (wunderbar verkörpert von TLynn Cohen) hütet das Rezept verbissen, doch sie mag Joey, der nach etlichen komischen Versuchen nicht nur wirklich gute Gurken schätzen gelernt hat, sondern auch Familiensinn neu versteht.

Eine entspannende Komödie, bei der herzhaft gelacht werden kann.

 

/ After his precious sound equipment is destroyed in a freak wedding accident, Joey Miller, aka the King MC of the Detroit party scene is in dire need of money. He partners with his shady Uncle Morty to steal his grandmother Rose's most prized possession: her famous top-secret pickle recipe and sell it for a small fortune. Obtaining the recipe won't be too easy but the lesson Joey learns in the process is priceless. The appreciation of family and the taste of a truly scrumptious pickle.
