Sam Spiegel hat nur kurz in Israel gelebt, sein Erbe hat die Filmgeschichte des Landes trotzdem stark beeinflusst. Eine Filmschule wird von seiner Stiftung finanziert – die „Sam Spiegel Film & Television School“ in Jerusalem. Spiegels Ethik war wohl zweifelhaft, seine Filmproduktionen aber sind Meilensteine der Filmgeschichte.
